The achievement of the challenge was an encouragement for the parents, the students and professors to go out of their ways for various months “to do something special for the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the center”, explained Tomas Sanz, its director, who also emphasized that the main intention of this beautiful initiative “was to gather together the families, professors and students”. One of those responsible of this college of Valladolid who may appear in the Guinness Book is Jose Antonio Herranz, professor of the primary grade and organizer of this activity which “we have been preparing since Christmas” and which substitutes the usual parade that the college had during this epoch. As explained by Jose Antonio, the idea came out when “we were searching for a dance of the carnival which was being done in the college, with the adults, many years ago”. This first proposal was joined to the second with the purpose “to win the record”, for which the organizers of this carnival made the study to find out “which of those related to the carnival was more accessible”.
Once the idea has been clarified, there was a need to involve the parents, who “have been spending so many weeks finding out how they could design the costume of the characters assigned to their children, with the least expense”, explained by the director of the center. It was worth the effort. The college of San Agustin celebrated a different day. Most all the 951 characters of 50 stories started the day giving classes as another day and ended with a photo of the Mayor looking at the characters of the story of the world.
