Enrique A. Eguiarte Bendímez belongs to the Institute of Augustinology OAR in Madrid. An attentive reading of the sermons preached by St. Augustine to his people lead us to see that on many occasions the bishop of Hippo makes use of certain liturgical texts of his time to catequize or explain and encourage the living out of different virtues.
