The cause for beatification of Bishop Ignacio Martínez

Bishop Ignacio always awoke in people deep admiration and acknowledgement because of his missionary activity in most difficult of rainforests and rivers. His was a reputation for holiness and of being an intrepid missionary not only in the order but also in the surrounding prelatures, in the archdiocese of Manaus and Belem do Para. This esteem for his figure and activity last even today.
