Fr. Angel Martinez Cuesta, who lived with Fr. Jenaro at the Curia General, delivered the homily. On June 28 Cardinal Vallini, the Vicar General of Benedict XVI for the diocese of Rome, presided at the Lateran Palace the closing of the Diocesan Process for the Cause of Canonization of Fr. Jenaro Fernandez Echeverría, who died in fame of sanctity in Rome in 1972.
