A few days ago the Augustinian Recollect Family called for action to support the population most affected by the floods that have occurred in different provinces of Peru, in an emergency weather episode that has not yet ended. The Augustinian Recollects continue to assist the victims of the areas where they are present.
From Peru, news comes to us like in the district of San Juan de Licupis, rains are spoiling crops, and disruption of access roads is making it difficult to get food and different aids. According to reports from Peru civil aid would not have reached that area yet.
On the other hand, in the province of Chota, in addition to the destruction of infrastructures and homes in the area, they are having a shortage of gas due to the closure of roads and this prevents the transport of gas drums.
In addition, numerous schools have had to suspend classes until Monday 2 April, as is the case of the La Ramada school in Llama district.
