Fr. Michael Rafferty, prior provincial, assisted by Frs. John Oldfield, Fidel Hernandez, Charles Huse, Fred Abiera, and a number of visiting priests presided and preached the homily at an evening Mass at Tagaste Monastery on August 28 to celebrate the Solemnity of St. Augustine.
Fr. John Gruben led the music accompanied by organist Marie Hiltz. Joe Marsico and Joe Gruszczynski, both SAR members, did the readings, and Peggy Evans (former Guild president) and Walter Vasquez (current president of the Hispanic committee) brought up the Offertory gifts. Some 60 people were present at the Mass and afterward enjoyed a light dinner hosted by the SARs in the Guild Hall of the Monastery.
