The construction of the new college began in May 2008 and was finished on the 10th of September with a solemn ceremony presided by Fr José David Niño, the Provincial of the Province of the Candelaria who then blessed all the departments in the collage. This collage is situated in 'El Tintal' southwest of Bogota and was built by Recollects in a new development centre in the capital of Colombia. The Recollects also administer to the Parish of St Augustine, and co-ordinate the Augustinian University there.
The new collage had the capacity of 1600 pupils. The educational Project, the direction and pastoral orientation is Augustinian and makes use of the latest technology, information, communication and specialises in English language. This new collage Hill replaces the older collage of St Nicholas, to be found in the centre of Bogota. It has already opened and it is enrolling students fo January 2010.
On the 28th of August, the feast of St Augustine saw the commemoration of 40 years the college Augustiano Norte in the north of Bogota with a Eucharistic celebration with the students. This was presided by Fr Facundo O. Suárez, general counsellor. Alter the Mass he blessed the building and the visitors reception area.
On the 11 of September the Prior Provincial and his counsel attended a supper along with those evolved in education, local religious male and female, the secretary of education. CONATED Nacional and Bogota. directors of local colleges, ICONTEC, parents and other invited guests. The rector of the collage Juan José Gómez gave thanks to God and the Virgin Mary for the 4522 young people who have graduated there and who carry the Augustinian seed of love, truth and freedom. He said, “this seed is already bearing fruit because our students learn the means necessary to better the quality of their fellow Colombians in a society more human, more productive, free and in peace.”

After a long process of adaptation two more of the seven the Recollect colleges received their certification of high quality according to the ISO 9001 – 2008 norms. On this occasion it was the turn of the colleges Suba to receive the certificate of ICONTEC and and Palmira BUREAU VERITAS. With these two colleges making five who are certified: Norte, Ciudad Salitre and Suba en Bogotá, and Bucaramanga and Palmira, in their respective cities.
