Along these four centuries of the life of its life the Order has had five Constitutions: The Way of Life (la Forma de vivir) approved in September 1589; the Constitutions of Fr. Pedro de Santiago in 1637, those of Fr. Pedro de San Pablo from 1664, to those of 1928, prepared by Fr. Eugenio Cantera after the promulgation of the 1917 Cod of Canon Law (and re edited in 1937), and the postconciliar ones published between 1969 y 1987.
