A new Church inaugurated in the missions of Taiwan

The inauguration started with the tradition ribbon cutting at the entrance of the church by the bishop, accompanied by Larry Garces,OAR, Secretary of the Province of Saint Ezekiel Moreno, and Arsenio Escabusa, OAR, parish priest. To symbolize the formal opening of the church, Bishop Liu handed over the keys of the church to Fr. Arsenio Escabusa. The bishop symbolically struck the door three times, followed by the opening of the door. Then the bishop, the priests and a great number of faithful entered the Church.

The Bishop delivered a short homily in Chinese. He focused on the meaning and importance of the cross of Jesus in human life. The Prelate emphasized on the role of the cross as the last symbol of God for humanity and underscored that it is a sign of authentic identity of Christianity.”

Words of Gratitude

Before the final blessing, Fr. Corvin Maturan, OAR, speaking in behalf of the Prior of the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno delivered a short message of thanks to Bishop Liu and the parishioners of San He respectively. After which, the latter gave the prelate a native costume as a gift.
