Last March 16, Benedict the XVI expressed his invitation for the celebration of the Year of the Priest on the occasion of the 150th death anniversary of Saint John Mary Vianney, “the Holy Priest of Ars.” From June 19, 2009 until June 11, 2010, the Church will put accent on the sanctification of priests and on the promotion of vocations for the service of the Christian community.
