The Augustinian Recollects became a religious Order after the publication of the Address “Religiosas Familias” (September 16th,1912). Close to the Centenary of this Document, this article of Fr. Jose Javier Lizarraga, written on the occasion of the IV Centenary of the Augustinian Recollects, takes actuality as a reference to know the beginning of the Order. This article was published in Recollectio 11 (1988) 439-509. It can be found too in the book “Augustinian Recollects: History and Spirituality” (Ed. Avgvstinvs) Rome 2007, 233-250.
