The song festival brings together 400 young Augustinian Recollects committed to ecology

Being such a large group, the participants were sent to sleep in the different retreat houses situated along the coast of Granada.

On Saturday morning, after prayers, the young people joined in the different workshops on ecology, mission, recreation and education. Lunch was served at the school lobby, like a wedding reception. In the afternoon the festival took place in the theater Calderón of Motril. Outside a giant screen and loud speakers were set up, so that no one could miss it because the theater has only three hundred seats. There were sixteen entries and three collected the awards: Best Lyrics to the group of San Sebastian (Basque Country), Best Interpretation for Granada (Andalucía) and Best Music to Guadalajara (Castilla La Mancha).

There was great participation among the young people.
A special award was granted to the group of young people who form the Parish Choir of Santo Tomas de Villanueva Parish of Granada, for their consistent service every Sunday.

At night, after dinner, a solemn prayer vigil was done in the Church of the Incarnation of Motril, presided by Jose Manuel Cambero, director of the Colegio San Agustin of the Augustinian Recollects of Motril.

There was great participation among the young people, even during confession. The performance of Christian singer Marcelo Olima provided everyone an environment conducive to prayer and encounter with God.

On Sunday, they gathered in groups, and had some reflection about the christian values for all ages and a gymkhana in the city of Motril. After lunch it was time to say goodbye but fueled with the experience of an alive faith and shared joy.
