The Place
This year the place chosen for the month of preparation was the Monastery in San Millán de la Cogolla, La Rioja, Spain. The flourishing natural surroundings and the atmosphere of the Monastery provide a setting that will help these young men prepare in intimacy with the Lord the response that he is calling them to make.
The Team
Accompanying the young religious during this month is Augustinian Recollect Fr. José Ramón Pérez, Vicar General of the Order and president of the General Secretariat of Formation. Assisting him as team members are Fathers Fabián Martín, Luciano Audisio, and Juan Pablo Martínez.
The Subject Matter
During the first week of this month the candidates for solemn profession will reflect on religious life and during the second week on the value of community. The third week will provide them with a special time of spiritual retreat, and during the fourth week they will take part in presentations on the various provinces and ministries of the Order and on specific topics regarding Augustinian Recollect pastoral life.
