Week of coexistence with the new postulants 2017

Starting the initial formation stage, 13 young people who are dedicated to the Augustinian Recollect life participate in the week of coexistence with their own formation in the Seminary of Capelinha. The week of coexistence of the new Augustinian Recollect postulants of the Seminary Our Lady Aparecida, Capelinha, in Franca, SP, began on February 6, 2017.
In 2017, there are 13 young people who begin the initial formation stage, 6 of them from the Province of St. Nicholas of Tolentino and 7 from the Province of Santa Rita de Cássia, coming from different parts of Brazil. During the week of coexistence, the new postulants participated in their own formation with various themes, given by some brothers who make up the community of Seminary Nossa Senhora Aparecida, Capelinha.
On the morning of the first day, February 6, the trainees met the Prior of the House, Friar Afonso de Carvalho Garcia, who gave instruction on the Liturgy of the Hours and its importance. The next day, February 7, it was their turn to meet with the Master of Formation, Br. Wesley Rosa, who set out the internal regime of the formation house. On February 8th and 9th, they began the formation of the following themes: St. Augustine, History of the Order and History of the Augustinian Recollects in Brazil, taught by Friar Diego Ramirez, religious of the Province of St. Nicholas of Tolentino.
On the same morning of the 8th, the postulants were invited to attend the presentation on oratory, made by the postulants of the 2nd and 3rd years of philosophy, in the auditorium Dom Javier. On the 10th, on a Friday, all community postulants met with a nutritionist who addressed important health topics and care for a regular diet and well being for all.
On Saturday the 11th, they attended a morning of Spiritual retreat given by Frei André. The vocational mass, celebrated at night, ended the week of coexistence. The Eucharistic celebration was presided by Friar Diego Ramirez and the new seminarians were introduced to the parish community.
