Between 1974 and 2015 Fr. Corpus undertook numerous projects necessary for the well-being of the province as 71 roads, 36 churches and chapels, 28 schools, bridges, canals, playgrounds, as well as 3 villages and numerous houses. It is for these constructions and for their work oriented to the people in need of the province and their well-being, for which the Order Manuel Amador Guerrero has been granted the rank of Commander, the most important award in the country.
At the age of 25 he was sent to Villanova University in the USA to train as a teacher, and it was three years later when he was sent to Panama where he studied the university degrees in Mathematics and Physics and Chemistry. After these years of formation, he entered as a teacher of these subjects in the San Agustín School, a school that has the Order in Panama City. And for 16 years he worked as a teacher and for 3 years as head of the school.
It was in 1974 when he arrived in the province of Bocas del Toro where he began his missionary work, which he practiced until 2015, for health reasons. In Bocas de Toro he has exercised mainly, and for which he has always felt a special call, as a missionary evangelizing different peoples and people, and in addition to spiritual attention has transmitted his knowledge as a builder to the inhabitants there, while Exercising as such, with the purpose of paving the native people and develop certain infrastructures necessary for a well-being.
Miguel Ángel Ciaurriz, vicar of the OAR in Central America, highlights the great work that has been done by Fr. Corpus in the area, and the good he has done with the people there, “is an engineer engaged in healing, not a Cure that makes of engineer “highlights.
