Guatemala City will host the VII EDUCAR Meeting from November 13 to 17, 2023. More than one hundred directors of educational centers of the Augustinian Recollect family will gather to deepen the foundations of the educational mission of the Order, share pedagogical experiences and promote projects of communion.
Antonio Carrón de la Torre, emphasizes that “this is a great opportunity to take a firm step forward in our networking as an educational family”. In fact, in this Encounter, updates of important documents such as the Institutional Educational Project of the Order and the Augustinian Pedagogical Bases will be presented. Likewise, other novelties will be presented, such as a Dictionary of competencies called DICAR, or the certification of excellence MELIOR for Augustinian Recollect educational centers.
During the course of the week, pedagogical experiences will be presented in a workshop fair, there will be a methodology of work by regional groups and spaces of encounter and knowledge of the different educational realities of the Augustinian Recollect family will be promoted.
Artificial intelligence applied to education, the promotion of the culture of good treatment in educational centers and the promotion of the evangelizing mission in the EDUCAR network will be other topics discussed.
Aside from religious and lay leaders of the Order, there will be the participation of religious and lay people from educational centers of the Augustinian Recollect Missionary Sisters and the Augustinian Recollect Sisters of the Heart of Jesus. The winners of the INNOVAR contest, which awards pedagogical innovation projects based on Augustinian pedagogy, will also attend.
