More than 50 communication managers of the Augustinian Recollect Family met on June 12, 2024 to discuss and plan new communication strategies that promote the cohesion and global visibility of the Order.
The meeting began with Pope Francis’ prayer on the occasion of the 52nd World Communications Day, asking the Lord to be instruments of his peace, and with a round of introductions of each of the participants. This was followed by the President of the Order’s Commission for Communication and Digital Evangelization, Fr. Antonio Carrónpresented the new configuration of the Communications Office and detailed the external and internal communication objectives to be achieved this year, which include showing a close image of the Augustinian Recollect charism, evangelizing in the digital environment and strengthening the audiovisual area, among others.
One of the central points of the meeting was the desire to improve coordination among the different provinces, organizations and Augustinian Recollect educational centers in order to increase the visibility of the Order throughout the world: our goal is to share relevant news and give them visibility, supporting the proposal of content in different languages and from different countries.
After discussing ways to improve communication between provinces, organizations and educational centers, such as the creation of a common calendar, and sharing different proposals to communicate from the Augustinian Recollect heart, Fr. Antonio also presented several ongoing projects. One of them was
Casiciaco Dialogues
a new initiative that reflects the Order’s commitment to innovation and evangelization and whose second edition is coming soon.
As Fr. Antonio, this day marks the beginning of a stage of greater collaboration and effectiveness in communication within the Augustinian Recollect Family: I believe that it has been a moment of impetus for the mission of communication and digital evangelization in our Augustinian Recollect Family. Getting to know each other and joining initiatives and efforts together will help us all.
