On January 27-28, the provincial secretaries of the Order of Augustinian Recollects met at the General Curia in Rome with the Secretary General, Friar Luciano Audisio. The purpose of this meeting was to strengthen the internal communication of the Order and to share experiences on the secretarial service.
Among the participants were Friar Benjamín Miguélez(Province of St. Nicholas of Tolentine), Friar Juan Pablo Martínez ( Province Ntra. Juan Manuel Zanutti(Province of St. Thomas of Villanova) and Friar Ernil Almayo(Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno). The meeting began on Monday 27th with the Eucharist, sharing during the homily experiences and challenges in the performance of their work.
The Prior General, Friar Miguel Angel Hernandez, addressed words of encouragement and thanks to the secretaries, stressing the importance of their mission for the life of the Order. In addition, some general councilors provided information on specific issues related to the management of the provincial secretariats.
One of the key themes of the meeting was the optimization of internal communication and coordination among provinces. In this context, on January 28, the secretaries visited the Dicastery for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life (DIVCSVA), where the Augustinian Recollect Fr. Freddy Daza presented the functioning of this Vatican organism and offered guidelines to improve the relationship between the provincial secretariats and the Holy See.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Secretary General, Friar Luciano Audisio, emphasized that “the importance of communication and collaboration within the Order was underlined, promoting efficient management in harmony with the ecclesial mission”.
