The Monica Mothers continue to consolidate their spiritual journey with new tools for prayer and community life. In March 2025, the General Curia of the Augustinian Recollects has given the coordinators and advisors of this apostolate a monthly allowance dedicated to the taste for the Word of God, inspired by the magisterium of St. Augustine, as well as a special greeting with Lenten news and reflections.
Spiritual Formation: a monthly allowance to savor the Word
Sergio Sanchez, OAR, deepens the experience of Lectio Divina, highlighting how the heart of the believer is the place where the Word of God wants to dwell. With accessible language and Augustinian spirituality, the Monica Mothers are invited to follow the five steps of prayer: reading, meditation, prayer, contemplation and fraternal sharing.
Communion and news: a living network at the service of Christian mothers
Ismael Ojeda, OAR, addresses a monthly greeting to all the promoters and participants of the movement, in which he shares the good news of February and March: the celebration of the Day of the Monastic Mothers in various parishes, the launch of a new iconography of St. Monica and the Ecstasy of Ostia, and the implementation of an exclusive WhatsApp channel for ongoing formation.

All this is taking place in a context of global and ecclesial concern, which the OAR team invites us to live with hope, especially during this Lenten season.
