Moving hearts, transforming lives: the communicative face of ARCORES Venezuela

Kevin Quirós and Graciela González, communication officers of ARCORES Venezuela, share their experience of narrating hope in the midst of difficulties. Their voices reveal that behind every image and publication there are faces, stories and a lot of heart.

Communication that transforms

“ARCORES in Venezuela is a very important grain of sand,” says Kevin Quirós, communications director of the solidarity network. And that grain of sand, he adds, “adds up day by day. Through stories, images and publications, the communications team accompanies, gives visibility and builds bonds that touch the heart: “Being able to be that helping hand, that Jesus for others, has been very nice.

With deep sensitivity, Kevin shares an experience that especially marked him: a person in a vulnerable situation traveled from Caracas to Los Teques just to pick up food. “That effort, that need, and at the same time that hope, moved me. They motivate me to continue giving my best”.

Sowing joy in the midst of fragility

Graciela González, community manager of ARCORES Venezuela, speaks with a smile that can be felt in her words: “Every time I visit a children’s home I leave with a full heart. Seeing the joy of the children, their spontaneity, their all-enveloping hugs, is an unforgettable experience: “They hug you as if they have known you all their lives. That is something that fills the soul.

For Graciela, communicating in ARCORES is not just a technical task. It is also about sharing the beauty of solidarity and making visible the goodness hidden in so many people who, through their generosity, “bring joy and relief to those who need it most”.

Communicating volunteerism, telling the story of hope

Both agree on the importance of the first international volunteer experience in Venezuela thanks to the alliance between ARCORES International and the EDUCAR network. Graciela emphasizes how this experience “marks history”, not only because of its novelty, but also because of the impact it leaves on the children: “That little one who today receives English or physical education classes with foreign people will remember it for the rest of his or her life. It is an indelible mark.

An apostolate that narrates the Gospel

In Venezuela, ARCORES not only feeds, trains and accompanies. It also communicates. And it does so from the noblest of the human heart. Behind every publication, there is a story. Behind every story, a person. And behind every gesture of solidarity, a call to continue moving hearts and transforming lives.

Because to communicate from faith is also to evangelize. It is also to love.
