Recoletos Podcast, thenew digital evangelization project of the Augustinian Recollects, is off to a strong start. In the first episode of the podcast of Inquietar, already available on the main podcast platforms, we are invited to discover vocation not as something reserved for a few, but as a universal call to friendship with God.

Vocation: more than a choice, a friendship

The episode entitled “He’s Calling You Too” breaks with a reduced vision of vocation. It is often associated only with the priesthood or religious life, but Inquietar reminds us, with clear and close words, that God’s first call is to friendship. A living, real friendship, which is expressed as the relationship between two best friends: talking to each other, listening to each other, accompanying each other in difficulties and laughing together in moments of joy.

A proposal open to all

The reflection ties in with the message of Pope Francis in Christus Vivit: vocation is for everyone, regardless of age, state of life or circumstances. Every Christian is called to live in friendship with Christ and to let that relationship transform his or her life. The question is not “Do I have a vocation?”, but “Do I want to cultivate this friendship with God and discover where it leads me?”.

Fruits born of “yes”.

The podcast reminds us that when we respond to this call, fruits begin to bloom. Life acquires a greater purpose, capable of filling the everyday with meaning. The testimonies and reflections in this episode invite us to imagine how trust in God can change our story and, at the same time, help transform the stories of those around us.

Let yourself be disturbed

The proposal is clear: to open our hearts, to let ourselves be troubled, to take the step of trusting that friendship with Christ is the greatest gift we can receive. This first episode challenges us personally and universally: to live our vocation as a love story with God.

You can listen to the full episode on Spotify and all major podcast platforms.
