“I am a mission”: the second episode of Inquietar invites us to live open to others

In its second episode, Inquietar leads us to a message as demanding as it is hopeful: “I am a mission”. The Christian’s life, far from being an individualistic project, is a gift that finds fulfillment when it is open to others. The program reminds us that mission is not only the task of missionaries or priests, but the vocation of every baptized person. Every life, wherever it develops, is called to be an offering and a service.

Be last to be great

The episode puts at the center the Gospel teaching that true greatness is born of humility. “Whoever wishes to be first, let him become the servant of all.” These words of Jesus run through the heart of the story, showing that the Christian life flourishes when it is given in simplicity: in patience, in forgiveness, in hidden work that does not seek applause. The podcast proposes to look at life not as a race for success, but as a path of service.

Works that illuminate

In Inquietar we insist that the mission is preached more with works than with words. A restless Christian is one who, in his family, at work, in the parish or in his studies, transmits hope with concrete gestures: a smile, a listening ear, a silent help. The episode reminds us that, as St. Francis of Assisi asked, life itself must become a proclamation, because the Gospel shines in daily coherence.

To stir the heart, to awaken hope

The reflection proposed in the episode also touches on the interior dimension: being a mission implies allowing oneself to be moved by the needs of others and by the voice of God in one’s innermost being. Where am I called to serve today? To whom can I bring comfort, light, companionship? The podcast does not offer quick recipes, but a close accompaniment that encourages us to listen to God in silence and to respond generously.

An invitation to all

Restlessness reminds us that being mission is not an option, it is identity. As an Augustinian Recollect community, as lay people, consecrated persons and families, we are invited to live restless, open to others, convinced that God’s love is multiplied when it is shared.
