Chapter VI, n. 44 of the Constitutions of Ratisbona, which were approved in the year 1290, ordered that the anniversary of all the deceased brothers be celebrated in all the communities of the Order on the day after the Octave of the Apostles Peter and Paul, that is to say, on the 7th of July. The commemoration was translated in 1672 to the 14th of November, a day after the Feast of All the Saints of the Order and in the reform of the Constitutions in 1975, to November 6.
At the death of our brothers and sisters, who have gone ahead of us under the sign of the faith, fraternal love makes us pray, strengthening our certainty of the resurrection that Christ has won for us.
