Like the stream that is formed suddenly from the rain, from drops of water, and flowing to the sea it ceases to appear, as it did not appear before it was formed with the rain, so is the human kind made whole from what flows and is hidden; with death it hides anew; it attracts attention in this interval and then it hides again. Christ drank from this torrent. To drink of this was for Him to be born and die.
