The soul that is united to God and yearns for him feels in his innermost part certain worldly worries and with the greed for earthly desires is poured outside, leaving the interior God, and withdraws from what is exterior into interior, and from inferior things to those that are superior, and exclaims: Praise the Lord, my soul.
