Communication and Publications Committee
The Communications and Publications Commission (CPC) is a consultative body at the service of the Order, dependent on the Prior General and his Council, which approves the plans and proposals of the CPC and makes the appropriate decisions.
The primary purpose of the PCC is to present and spread the charism of the Order and to safeguard its institutional image.
The specific purpose of the PCC is to animate the life of communion in the Order with evangelization as its ultimate goal.
Other objectives of the Commission are:
- establish the general policy of the Order regarding communications and publications
- to promote communion through communications and publications among the religious, and to facilitate the relationship with the rest of the Augustinian Recollect Family
- to provide adequate information about the Order in the media
- fostering relationships among the religious and other members of the Augustinian Recollect Family
- to report on important events in the life of the Order and, where appropriate, in the Church or society
- disseminate our spirituality, cultural heritage, history and way of life, both among those closest to us and among those who do not know us.
- to collaborate with the Secretariats and organizations of the Order, and to promote and disseminate their initiatives and actions
- to cooperate in the ongoing formation of the religious men and women of the Augustinian Recollect Family, and of the laity related to it
- to see that the CPC is instituted in all provinces and to ensure its proper functioning
- to establish channels for the religious to be adequately trained in the use of the means of social communication.
