The new Province that World take the name Nuestra Señora de la Consolación was brought into being on 12 July 1961 and began its story two weeks later being formally proclaimed in the monastery of Valentuñana, in Sos del Rey Católico, Zaragoza. At the end of 2004 the Province had 134 religious distributed in 26 communities and dedicated to parish work (39 parishes), education (4 colleges), and the missions (Prelature of Boca del Toro).
