St. Rita’s Province saw the Light of day very quickly but not unexpectedly. The 1950 General Chapter had already considered the possibility of creating a province in Brazil. At the end of 2006 the Province had 58 religious and ten novices distributed in ten communities and dedicated to parish work in ten parishes and formation work in three seminaries.
