The Church commemorates these two holy bishops on the same day, 16th May. They came from the same region and lived at the same time. Both were born in the middle of the fourth century in Numidia, a Roman Province set in the now territory of Argelia. Both died there at the end of the third part of the following century. They came from different social backgrounds and saw things in different ways. However their meeting Augustine cancelled out all social barriers making them equal and leading them along similar paths.
