The pilgrimage was highlighted by the celebration of the Eucharist at the main altar of the Basilica presided by Fr. Miguel Miró, the vicar general of the Augustinian Recollects. During his homily, Fr. Vicar general explained that it was Mary of Gua-dalupe who unites the hearts of the participants coming from twelve different coun-tries with their own different cultures in the hope of a new evangelization. During the solemn celebration the words of Mary to St. Juan Diego of Tepeyac, were echoed. "Do not let your heart be troubled … Am I not here. I am your Mother?”
After the Mass, they visited the Recollect Brothers of Christ Crucified of Avante. They received a warm welcome followed by a sumptuous fraternal meal.
