There are four areas in which the internal structure of the Augustinian Recollects will be moving during the next six years: secretariats, institutes, office of communication and the commissions. Four secretariats will take charge of what pertains to the charismatic identity of the religious: spirituality, formation, educational-youth apostolate and ministerial-missionary apostolate.
The institutes are research groups at the service of the secretariats and of the Order. One is dedicated to the study on Saint Augustine; the second takes charge of the Recollect history and spirituality. Each institute publishes its own scientific journal. The communication office will coordinate with all those assigned for the institutional web page, the bulletin Notitiae, the publications and the institutes of the Order.
The commissions are the main novelty. They are ad hoc bodies, each one with its own specific task: the re-structuring of the Order, the vocations, the review of the Constitutions and the celebration of the centennial of the papal document declaring the Recollects as an Order in full sense with all its rights and privileges.
Foreign affairs
The institutional relations will be channeled, as usual, through a procurator before the Holy See, another religious responsible for the causes of the saints and various responsible for coordinating with the different branches of the Augustinian Recollect family: bishops, cloistered nuns, religious, the secular fraternity, the JAR /RAY, the NGO Haren Alde. Added to them is one who heads the commission on "Justice, Peace and Integrity of the Creation" to promote human and social concerns.
Councilors
The first councilor and vicar general, José Ramón Pérez, is the new president of the initial and on-going formation secretariat . He is a member of the team in charge of the publications and dissimination. Added to them is his being the prior of the community where most of the general council in Rome stay.
José María Sánchez Marín, second councilor, will preside the secretariat on youth and educational apostolate as well as the commission on vocations. He is also tasked to link with the JAR/RAY and with the NGO Haren Alde.

The third councilor, Julián Antonio Hincapié, heads the secretariat on the mission and pastoral apostolates.He is a member of the institutional web team and links with the commission on Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation.
Pablo Panedas is the fourth general councilor and new president of the secretariat of spirituality. He will be concurrently the coordinator of the office of communication of the Order, and links with the institutes of the Order and with the secular fraternities.
The fifth councilor, Samson Silloriquez, represents the Order before the Holy See and is responsible for the causes of canonization. He forms part also of the office of communication as one responsible for the bulletin Notitiae.
Sergio Guadalupe Camarena is the sixth councilor and the general secretary. Aside from the tasks of being the secretary, Camarena is responsable for the relations with the Augustinian Recollect bishops and forms part of the communication office in the area of the institutional web.
The important novelty is that, in most instances, support teams are in place to promote interaction of people and the optimal utilization of resources.
