The Prior General continues his trip through the different cities of Colombia sharing experiences, reflections and words of encouragement with the Augustinian Recollect communities of the country.
After a first few days full of emotions and affection, the second week of the Prior General’s fraternal visit to Colombia was marked by moments of deep spirituality and community encounters.
On February 17, he travelled to Medellín to go to Bucaramanga the following day, the capital of the department of Santander, which is located in the north of the country. On February 20, he left for Yopal-Trinidad, followed by a trip to Bocas del Pauto on February 21. As Fr. Miguel Angel, during those days experienced the warmth and hospitality of the Colombian communities and learned more about the diversity and culture that enriches the country.
On February 23 he arrived in Orocué, where he had the opportunity to share life, challenges and hopes with the local community of the Parish of Our Lady of Candelaria.
After these visits in the interior of the country, the Prior General returned to Bogota on February 25. However, his commitment to fraternity and spirituality took him beyond the Colombian capital. On February 26, he undertook a trip to the Candelaria Desert, where he had the opportunity to share fraternity with the novitiate community of the Province.
On February 29, again in Bogota, he met with the Augustinian Recollect Missionary Sisters. The Prior General confessed that he was deeply inspired by the life witness of the sisters, who shared their experiences and challenges in missionary work.On the following day, March 1, Friar. Miguel Angel continued his work of encounter and communion, this time with the Augustinian Recollect Sisters of the Sick in Bogota.
During the next week, Fr. Miguel Angel will visit the communities of San Joaquin (Las Ferias), Suba, Tagaste and La Consolación and will also meet with the Provincial Council and ARCORES Colombia. A final week that he faces with gratitude and enthusiasm for the fraternal encounter . The Prior General said that he will always keep this experience in his heart.
