The Course of Preparation for Solemn Profession is contemplated in the Constitutions of the Order as a period in which the candidates live an immediate experience before their definitive “yes” in the Order.

Mc Airel Sadang, Fr.
Joseph Neil Enclonar, Fr.

All of them are simply professed and are in the year of pastoral and community insertion, the last stage of initial formation.
The course began on July 22 in the community of Nuestra Señora de la Consolación, in the Boyacá neighborhood of the city of Bogotá.
A team of Augustinian Recollect religious composed of Fr.
Kenneth Joseph Llacuna, Fr.
Danilo Janegitz, Fr.
Jhon Eduard Olarte and Fr.
Fabián Martín accompanies the experience and imparts the formations.
The purpose of this course is that the participants experience the most important charismatic aspects of the Augustinian Recollects: the wisdom of interiority, the wisdom of community and the wisdom of ecclesiality.
And that they do it from the vocation to the consecrated life.
In such a way that the activities and formations allow them to prepare themselves better for the definitive option in the vocation to the Augustinian Recollect consecrated life.
During the first week, they reflected with Fr.
Danilo Janegitz on some important aspects of religious consecration and the vows or evangelical counsels that express it concretely: poverty, chastity and obedience.
They dealt with topics such as service and availability, affections and sexuality, desire for power and growth from humility.
These topics offer important keys so that the religious can make a personal life project and grow as Augustinian Recollects in the following of Jesus Christ.
During the first weekend, both the participants and the team accompanying them toured emblematic places in Bogota: the Monserrate Sanctuary on the top of a mountain, the historic center of the city, different museums and cultural exhibits, the Cathedral, the Government Palace, etc.
And, in a special way, they walked through the different areas of the convent of La Candelaria of the Augustinian Recollects, which is also located in the center of Bogota.
They also visited the Augustinian Recollect nuns of Bogota, with whom they shared a fraternal encounter.
It was a time to share as a community with the Augustinian Recollect family in these beautiful lands.
