The Augustinian Recollects joyfully announce their collaboration with Hallow, the most downloaded Catholic prayer app in the world. Starting in August, the Augustinian charism will reach millions of people through two new spiritual proposals on the platform.
A digital continent open to hope
In a hyper-connected world, the paths of the Gospel also travel digital routes. For this reason, the Augustinian Recollects celebrate with enthusiasm the beginning of a collaboration with Hallow, a platform that is transforming the way of praying and encountering God in daily life.
This alliance is intended to be a bridge between Augustinian spirituality and the thousands of faithful who seek refuge, light and consolation in prayer every day.
“We are deeply honored to collaborate with Hallow, a tool that is helping so many people to encounter God in the midst of their days,” said the Augustinian Recollects Communications Office.
Hallow: the app that has brought prayer to the heart of the world
Founded in 2018 by Alex Jones, Erich Kerekes and Alessandro DiSanto, Hallow was born out of a desire to help others rediscover faith, as happened to its own creator. Today, based in Chicago (USA), Hallow is the world’s leading prayer app and has already surpassed the milestone of one billion prayers praying through its platform.
Available in Spanish since 2022, Hallow offers audio guided prayers, meditations, Christian music, practices such as Lectio Divina, community challenges and tools to create prayer routines. Its growth has been unstoppable and it has the backing of well-known Catholic faces such as Jonathan Roumie and Mark Wahlberg, as well as the official recognition of several dioceses, including the Catholic Church in Scotland.
Two proposals, one soul: the restless heart in search of God
Starting in August, the first two contents produced by Hallow in collaboration with the Augustinian Recollects will be released:
St. Augustine and St. Monica, a saint in seven days
As part of the series “A Saint in Seven Days”, this narrative and meditative itinerary immerses us in the passionate life of St. Augustine and the persevering strength of St. Monica. It is an invitation to walk, for a week, the path of the restless heart that does not rest until it rests in God.
Novena to St. Ezekiel Moreno: hope for those who suffer
With the heart set on those who live the experience of cancer – patients, family members, caregivers and friends – this novena places under the protection of St. Ezekiel, patron saint of cancer patients, a simple, close and faith-filled supplication. Words that comfort, silences that embrace and a presence that accompanies.
Hope to arrive in August
These contents will be available in Spanish on the Hallow platform throughout the month of August. They will be free of charge and can be listened to from anywhere in the world, at any time of the day.
It is one more step in the desire of the Augustinian Recollects to live the mission as “Church in going out”, also in the digital continent. Wherever there is a restless heart, we want to be.
